New Pics

This is Conner ready to get out of the house with mommy yesterday. We went and got my hair cut off to my shoulders so he would stop pulling it!

This is what Conner does every morning when I go to get him up. He doesn't even cry anymore, he just sits there and coos and sucks his thumb until I come get him! By the way, he is sleeping very good since we got the sleep positioner (it keeps him from spitting up in his sleep). He always manages to wiggle off of it by the morning though! (His head should be at the top of the thing...silly boy.


I put little man down to play this morning and after about 30 minutes I guess he was worn out! He caught a little nap!

Fat Boy!

Conner has really gotten a lot bigger the past few weeks. He is getting FAT! He smiles a lot more now and can actually giggle a little bit. He is trying so hard to talk and he can get a few little sounds out. Conner has not been all smiles and giggles though...he started having acid reflux a few weeks ago. It took about a week for us to figure out what was wrong with him. I finally called the doctor and he is taking Zantac for it. Needless to say the past few days have been a lot better. I couldn't stand watching him suffer through those reflux spells. He's all good now though!

I couldn't decide which pictures to post because I love all of them. So, I just made a slide show so you could see them all. I'm going to have a hard time deciding which ones to put up in the house! Thanks Kim, you did a great job!

Football Banquet

We just got these pictures back. The banquet was actually before Christmas (2 weeks after Conner was born). He looks so little looking back at this now.

Sleepy Head

I put Conner to bed at about 11 o'clock last night and then I went to bed myself. He has been sleeping a little bit longer at night the past week. It's usually 4 to 5 hours before he gets up and needs to be changed and fed again. Well this morning I got up around 5 AM and that little boy was still sleeping! I had to go check on him just to make sure he was ok! Finally, at 6 AM he woke up crying and his little tummy was growling. I am so glad that he is finally sleeping most of the night now. I never thought I'd be so proud of getting 6-7 hours of sleep at one time! Maybe this routine will continue...especially since I start back to work in a month!

At the Movies

Everytime we take Conner out somewhere he just sleeps the whole time. Therefore, we thought we could swing taking him to the movies with us last night. Of course, the one time that he needs to be sleeping when we are out he is WIDE AWAKE the whole time! It was ok though because he didnt fuss. I was able to get a bottle down him and he just looked around the whole time. I'm glad we picked a short movie though because we wouldn't have made it too much longer. He was starting to get a little ancy towards the end.

One Month Check-Up

Conner had his one month check up this week. He did not enjoy this visit that much. He had to get his little heel pricked and one shot in his leg. He did better than I thought he would and not to mention I did pretty good too! I didn't cry this time :) He weighed in at 9 lb 14.5 oz and is 22 inches long now. I knew he was getting heavy but I didnt think he was almost 10 pounds yet. Guess he's not eating a lot for nothing!

Visiting Daddy at Work

Since it was so nice outside today, I took Conner for a stroll around the neighborhood and then I didn't feel like going back inside. So we decided to go visit daddy at work. Today was the first day of baseball practice and we thought it would be fun to drop in. We had a good time getting out today. It's actually the first time that I have driven since Conner got here. We'll have to keep getting out like this if the weather stays nice!

Found that Thumb Again

Conner was getting his bath last night and I guess he couldn't wait any longer for his dinner. He found his thumb and went to town on it. I'm afraid we may have more trouble getting rid of that thumb sucking rather than the pacifier on down the road!
He absolutely loves getting a bath now. He does not even cry one bit anymore. He just lays there and looks around. His favorite part is getting that hair washed because it's nice and warm.
Daddy does such a good job with those baths!

Smiley Face

Conner was sleeping in the car last week and was just a smiling. I was able to catch the end of this one. It's looks more like a little smirk! He has been much more alert and responsive to me over the past week. A few times he would smile at me when I talked to him and I thought maybe it was just a coincedence. But this morning I am sure he was smiling at me. I was talking real sweet to him and he just grinned! It is such a wonderful feeling to know that he his actually smiling in response to me and not b/c he tooted :) Hopefully, I will be able to get some more pics of him smiling soon.

We watched the AL vs. Colorado Bowl Game last night. We were happy to see AL pull through and win. Thankfully, I picked the right size when I bought this little outfit a few months ago!

Ok, so I'm still playing catch up on the Christmas pictures. Hopefully, I will get better at posting now that we are a little more adjusted to having Conner home. I think we are starting to get somewhat into a routine and things are more "second nature" now!

This is Conner and his new cousin Adilyn. She is about 4 weeks older than Conner We have been talking up this picture for a while now. We both had Santa outfits for the babies before they were born and couldn't wait for Christmas when we could get them together. Unfortunately Conner slept through the pic but it's still cute.

Aunt Margie got both of the babies these cute Pottery Barn gowns with their names monogrammed on the front. As you can tell, the babies were tired out from all the Christmas fun...they were not interested in getting pictures!
