Christmas Decorating

We had a very relaxing Thanksgiving Holiday and didn't do too much. We did want to get the Christmas decorating done b/c I know after Conner gets here that it wouldn't get done. I really couldn't see us having Christmas with the new baby and no Christmas tree. Thankfully, Santa's little helper enjoyed putting up the tree and decorating it!! I helped a little by wrapping all the gifts and putting up a few ornaments. Shayne did a great job with the tree and most importantly our Christmas shopping is already done! Yeah!! Only 9 more days until little man gets here and our lives change forever :)

Conner's "Planned" Birthday

We got a surprising update at the doctor yesterday. My doctor did not feel like Conner was head down even though I was sure that he was, so she ordered an ultrasound to determine his presentation. Well, she was right...he is still in the breech position and the odds are very slim that he will flip back around this late in the game. So, we have scheduled a C-section for December 5th. Assuming I make it that far (which I think I will) then his "Birth-day" will be the same day as my brother's. It kind of worked out weird b/c that was the only day of the week that the doctors were available for surgery. Thankfully, Johnny sounded more excited than disappointed about it. We will just have two birthdays to celebrate at once!

The countdown has started...no more guessing (we hope)... 19 days left!!!

Almost 36 Week Update

I am going to the doctor on a weekly schedule now and they are starting to check me for progress. I think this little guy is ready to meet everyone! I am dialated 1 cm already, but that doesn't really mean much. I could stay that way for 4 more weeks, but at least we are heading in the right direction. The doctor said the baby kept pinching her with his hands when she was checking me. I think he was trying to let her know that he's ready to come out. I guess he thought if he held on to her tight enough he'd slip on out!! I don't think it works that way :) Anyway, we thought it was cute that he was pinching the doctor, so I wanted to share with everyone. I'll put my last belly shot on here Monday when I am a complete 36 weeks.

Halloween

Shayne and I had a laid back Halloween this year. I cooked a big pot of chili and we carved our little pumpkin that we got at the pumpkin patch a few weeks ago. We didn't really put a whole lot of time into it as you can tell! We sat outside in our chairs and handed out candy to all the kids in the neighborhood. It was fun, but I can't wait til next year when I can dress our own kid up and go trick-or-treating!

Baby Shower

We had the baby shower at our house last weekend. We have been very busy putting everything in its place, washing, and getting the rest of the things that are needed such as car seats, etc. We got a lot of great stuff at the baby shower and really appreciate everything that our family and friends did to help us out. I tell you what...this baby stuff can get expensive!! I never realized how much stuff you needed to bring a new baby into this world. It has definitely been fun though. I love all of the gifts that we received. Thank you to everyone for remembering us at this exciting time! :)
