Playing Outside

I had to get Conner out of the house today b/c we were both going crazy being cooped up with this bug going round our house. He really enjoys being outside. Sometimes, he'll stand at the back door and say "outside" and I have to take him out. He mainly just runs around without any purpose! He has so much energy that it wears me out most of the time. We had fun playing with all of our new outdoor toys. I'm looking forward to playing more with him outside this summer. I'm hoping we can get the baby pool out next weekend. I know he'll love that!

Magnolia Festival 2009

Gardendale's annual Magnolia Festival took place yesterday. Shayne was feeling better (for a little while anyways), so we decided to go out for a few hours to view the vendors, music, and kid stuff. Conner had a lot of fun running around everywhere. We even got a really cute photo made of him at one of the tents, but I don't have it in our email yet. Hopefully, I'll get that this week and post it. You can see he was pooped out by the time we left. I don't think he feeling as good as usual. I'll probably have to take him to the doctor tomorrow. Shayne has been feeling really achy with a fever that comes and goes. I hope Conner isn't coming down with the same thing b/c I'm afraid it's either mono or the flu. BTW, Shayne was tested for both on Friday with negative results but I've heard you can get a negative result but still have one or the other....maybe we'll figure it out tomorrow.

More Easter Pics

Sorry I'm late with the rest of our Easter pictures, but we were busier on Easter Day than what I had anticipated. Then I went out of town for work for a few days last week. On top of that, Shayne and Conner aren't feeling well this weekend. You can imagine how busy I've been trying to take care of both of them.

The Easter Bunny brought Conner a sandbox and he really liked it! It took a few minutes for him to figure out what to do with it (besides eat the sand)!

We went to Christie and Scott's for Easter dinner and had a really fun Easter egg hunt! The food was really yummy too! I think I ate from the time I walked in the door until we left :)

We went to the Saturday night service at church tonight and we tried our best to get some good pictures. This little man won't stay still for 1 second. These are the best ones that we got. He does look awful handsome in his sweater vest, doesn't he?

The Easter Bunny will be visiting us tonight and then we go to my sister's for lunch and an easter egg hunt. I'll post pictures from those tomorrow.

Prom 2009

Here we are at this year's prom. Our third one in a row to chaperone. Prom as an adult is definitely not as much fun as it was when we were in high school. But I guess that's a good thing!

Cutie Pie!

This is Conner sitting in the big boy chair in the coach's office after the ball game last Saturday. Conner and Mommy had a busy day between the Easter Egg Drop and baseball games. I got lucky with this picture and snapped it just as he was making this cute face!

The Great Easter Egg Drop

A new church out here in Mount Olive had an awesome Easter Egg Hunt (or Drop as they called it). A helicopter came by and dumped hundreds, maybe thousands, of plastic easter eggs across this field. I bet it wasn't 5 minutes and all those Easter eggs were picked up. That's how many kids were out there. Conner and I stayed in the back so we wouldn't get trampled which caused us to not find any eggs. One lady was nice enough to give us a handful of her sons. Conner didn't know any different thank goodness. He sure had a good time sitting there playing with them and finding the candy inside! He also enjoyed the bouncers/moonwalks that were there. I had to go in with him at first and then he was all about it! I think I know what this year's birthday party entertainment will be!
