First Taste of Food

We finally decided to give Conner some cereal tonight. He has begged us for food at the table a few times the past few weeks. He would hold his mouth open like a little bird wanting a bite of whatever we were eating. It was so pitiful. Since he was 4 months old yesterday, we thought we'd go ahead and give it a try. Well, he ate it like a pro! I know he has been ready for food for a few weeks now and he was so happy to finally get some tonight. We couldn't shovel it in his mouth fast enough before he'd started begging for more! He goes to the doctor for his 4 month checkup on Tuesday, so hopefully the doctor won't mind :)

Graduated to Big Toys

Conner has not enjoyed his "baby" toys recently (like the playmats). So I put him in the exersaucer to see how he would do. I thought he was still a little small for it, but he proved me wrong. He had a ball with all the toys. He could even spin around in that thing. I think he's been learning stuff at daycare behind my back ;)

Sweet Sleeper

You've probably figured out now that I love taking pictures of Conner sleeping. He is just so precious when he's asleep. He loves holding those snuggle bears when he sleeps...what a sweet boy :) Oh and the block in his face was from him playing only moments before he passed out! He just used it as a prop!

Baby Shower

My friend from work had her baby shower yesterday. It was actually a couple shower, so we all 3 got to go. It was a lot of fun and Margarita got some good stuff for baby Laura. We can't wait to meet her. She'll be the first little girl! Conner's friend, Caleb, was there too. You can see they had a good time playing together! Conner actually fell asleep after all the playing.

Prom 2008

Once again we were chaperones for the Prom. Conner stayed home with his Mimi and was a very good boy! We had some good food and danced a little bit. The big group picture is all of the baseball players that were there. We'll get our portraits back in a few weeks and I'll put that on here then.

Being Silly

Watching Barney

He likes Barney! I snuck around to catch him laughing at Barney and he was so in tune with it that he never knew I was there.

Happy Easter!

I thought Conner looked so handsome in his little Easter outfit. He looked like a little baby and I just loved it! Daddy didn't care for the little hat too much, but I thought it was precious. I won't be able to dress him like a baby for too much longer so I took advantage of it. We go this week to have his real Easter pictures/3 month pictures taken. Better late than never since we've been out of town. Look at that cute little smile!

Spring Break

I recently had an impulse to trade my Maxima in for a mini-van. Well, a day and a half later, I did it! This is the new addition to our family. We were getting ready to go to the beach for Shayne's Spring Break baseball tournament and there was no way we could have gotten all of the baby's stuff down there in either one of our cars. Needless to say, I am a proud owner of a Honda Odyssey now! haha I never thought I would drive a minivan, but I love it. It has more stuff than I ever knew a vehicle could have: leather seats, DVD, satellite radio, 3 AC zones, heated seats, plenty of storage, a 115V plug and much more. This is a picture of us leaving last weekend for Gulf Shores. It was perfect for our trip! Conner did so good riding down.

Beach Pictures

Conner enjoyed the beach...you can see he slept most of the time while we were out there! The ocean noise reminded him of his sound machine that we use at home at night. He loved the swimming pool. He just kicked back and relaxed as he floated around. The last row of pictures were taken at one of the ball games. It was so windy outside that I had to "cocoon" him in his stroller or else he was mad. He was fine though just kicking away in there and playing. We wore him out on this trip. I don't think he has ever slept better!

We played putt-putt the last night in Gulf Shores. Conner was a good sport until about the 16th hole and then he started getting bored. As you can see, we took a lot of stroller pictures. He loved riding around in that thing!

"Mommy, What are you doing to me?"

Conner playing in his bath robe and looking at me like I'm crazy!

Finally Got it on Video

I finally got Conner to roll over while I was filming him. I've tried a hundred times over the past few weeks and he just does it so quick that I couldn't get my camera ready in time! He is really getting strong and starting to inch around now. Some mornings he is turned sideways in his bed. It won't be too much longer and this boy is going to be mobile. For now though, we are practicing on sitting up!

3 Months Old Already

Conner turned 3 months old yesterday! He is getting to be such a big boy. We have upgraded to the big 8 oz bottles and he would rather sit up in his stroller than use the pumpkin seat on it. I don't think it will be too long and he'll be ready for some cereal. He still sleeps through the night but the milk isn't keeping him as long. He is such a happy baby and all the daycare ladies love him. They give him kisses and he just loves it! He's already got a girlfriend too. That is Riley, our neighbor's kid. She was very interested in Conner the other day. She wanted to go for a stroll with him!

The First Milestone!

So my little baby reached a milestone on Thursday and I have nothing to show for it here. He rolled over from his stomach to his back like five times for us. I had picked him up from daycare that evening and got home...was doing some things around the house and put Conner on his stomach to let him get that head a little stronger. To my surprise, he started rocking side to side like he wanted to roll over. I continued to watch and lord and behold he tucked that shoulder and rolled on over! I about hit the floor. I wanted to scream at the top of my lungs (but knew it would scare him to death)!! So anyways, we got the video camera out and filmed him doing it over and over again. I have never been so excited about anything in my life before! Unfortunately, the video camera file is like 500 MB and I can't post it . So, until I can capture it on my digital camera's video function, you'll have to wait and see it! He's been a little fussy the past few days and hasn't wanted to perform for my camera, so we'll have to wait for the world to see it... :o
